Hugh has helped thousands of individuals to discover their potential in art, including Hollywood costume

designer Sammy Sheldon; International basketball player John Amaechi, and late friend & actor Roy Barraclough.

Hugh has taught watercolour painting as a therapy in hundreds of educational establishments throughout the UK.

He has also taught in the USA, Istanbul, & aboard the QE2.

Thousands of adults & children have benefitted from Hugh’s unique style of teaching which focuses on developing

mindfulness & creativity locked deep within the right side of the Brain.  ‘Remarkable’ says The Times Educational Supplement.

Like his Great Grandparents who travelled the UK with their music hall  ‘Templeton’s Variety theatre’  in the 1890’s,

Hugh does a similar thing in 2021 with his travelling art workshops.

Rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, with a Distinction in his art education degree from the University of Manchester,

his training has also been accredited by the British CPD Standards office, and acclaimed by Headteachers & Educators.

Born in Manchester, which is still his base, Hugh takes the hundreds of inspirational workshops which he has designed – out into the

greater community. And if you cannot ‘get to him’ try one of his online watercolour workshops – many absolutely free on this website.
